Discounters are reducing prices on numerous products

Many people start the day with cornflakes or bread. You can now enjoy lower prices at Lidl, Aldi and Kaufland. These products are becoming cheaper.

Anyone who eats cornflakes, cinnamon or chocolate cereals for breakfast can now expect lower prices: Both Kaufland and Lidl are permanently reducing the prices of numerous cereal products on January 8th. Now Aldi is following suit and is also reducing prices for bread and other products. Kaufland cites lower raw material prices as the reason, which the company wants to pass on directly to customers.

Which products are cheaper at Aldi?

Aldi Süd and Aldi Nord have already reduced the price of numerous breakfast products by up to 20 percent as of January 8th. On January 9th, additional items will be added that will be up to 11 percent cheaper. The cheaper products at Aldi Süd and Nord include:

  • Ears of gold wholemeal toast and butter toast, 500 gram pack from 1.19 euros to 0.99 euros (16 percent cheaper)
  • Goldears Vital & Fit Juicy multigrain bread, 500 gram pack from 1.39 euros to 1.29 euros (7 percent cheaper)
  • Gold ears multi-grain slices, 500 gram pack from 1.39 euros to 1.29 euros (7 percent cheaper)
  • Goldears Small Sandwich Toast Spelled, 375 gram pack from 1.29 euros to 1.19 euros (7 percent cheaper)
  • Gold ears sandwich toast wheat, 750 gram pack from 1.49 euros to 1.39 euros (6 percent cheaper)
  • Ears of gold sandwich toast whole grain, 750 gram pack from 1.49 euros to 1.39 euros (6 percent cheaper)
  • Ears of gold protein bread, 500 gram pack from 1.99 euros to 1.89 euros (5 percent cheaper)
  • Golden Bridge Cornflakes, 500 gram pack from 1.79 euros to 1.59 euros (11 percent cheaper)
  • Golden Bridge Nougat Bits, 750 gram pack from 2.99 euros to 2.79 euros (6 percent cheaper)
  • Golden Bridge cinnamon chips, 750 gram pack from 2.99 euros to 2.79 euros (6 percent cheaper)
  • Golden Bridge Chocolate Balls, 750 gram pack from 2.99 euros to 2.79 euros (6 percent cheaper)
  • Golden Bridge Honey Wheat, 750 gram pack from 2.99 euros to 2.79 euros (6 percent cheaper)

The gold ear country bread in the 1000 gram pack is 5 percent cheaper from 1.69 euros to 1.59 euros, the price for the gold ear grain balance sandwich in the 750 gram pack also falls by 5 percent from 1.89 euros to 1.79 euros.

And only at Aldi Süd are the following products reduced in price:

  • Goldears Seedy wholemeal rye bread, 500 gram pack from 0.99 euros to 0.79 euros (20 percent cheaper)
  • Hustin filled candies, 100 gram pack from 0.99 euros to 0.79 euros (20 percent cheaper)

  • Gutbio fruit gum, 200 gram pack from 1.89 euros to 1.69 euros (10 percent cheaper)
  • Gutbio French fries, 750 gram pack from 2.69 euros to 2.49 euros (7 percent cheaper)
  • Cucina Nobile Mozzarella Maxi, 400 gram pack from 2.69 euros to 2.49 euros (7 percent cheaper)
  • Golden Bridge Chocolate Krunchy, 750 gram pack from 2.99 euros to 2.79 euros (6 percent cheaper)

Which products are cheaper at Lidl?

Since the beginning of the year, Lidl has already permanently reduced the price of more than 60 products from different product groups. From January 8th, Lidl’s own brand “Crownfield” cereals will be cheaper. These include, for example, the following items:

  • Frosted flakes in the 2×375 gram pack from 2.99 euros to 2.79 euros (seven percent cheaper)
  • Cornflakes in the 500 gram pack from 1.79 euros to 1.59 euros (eleven percent cheaper)
  • Nougat Pillows in the 750 gram pack from 2.99 euros to 2.79 euros (seven percent cheaper)

On which items does Kaufland reduce prices?

Also on January 8th, things will also be cheaper at Kaufland: Cornflakes and other breakfast cereals from the K-Classic own brand will now be among the more than 2,800 items that the market has reduced in price since January 2023. These include, for example, the following products:

  • K-Classic Choco Happs in the 750 gram pack from 2.99 euros to 2.79 euros (seven percent cheaper)
  • K-Classic Wonder cinnamonies in the 750 gram pack from 2.99 euros to 2.79 euros (seven percent cheaper)
  • K-Classic Nougat Pockets in the 750 gram pack from 2.99 euros to 2.79 euros (seven percent cheaper)
