New attacks and willingness to dialogue

According to Ukrainian information, three people have been injured in new Russian attacks on Odessa. Russia reports intercepted drones from Ukraine. Nevertheless, both countries are willing to talk.

According to the 30 -hour “Easter Waffenruhe” announced by Russia's President Vladimir Putin on Saturday – which was apparently not adhered to – the fights in Ukraine have continued today. At night, Russia massively attacked drones, according to the authorities, the Ukrainian port city of Odessa. Three people were injured, the governor of the region, Oleh Kiper, wrote at Telegram.

Civil infrastructure, residential buildings, an educational institution and vehicles were damaged. Ukrainian civil protection published photos of extinguishing work.

Report both sides Drone attacks

According to the authorities, six private houses, four cars, three other buildings and three garages were damaged in the Kiev region. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia attacked the neighboring country with 54 drones at night. The air force did not give the all -clear in the morning, so further drone swarms approached from the north.

According to a media report, Russia shot down ten Ukrainian drones during the night. Half of it was made harmless over the Black Sea Peninsula, reports the Russian news agency Ria, citing data from the Ministry of Defense in Moscow.

Conflict parties as a source

Information on the course of the war, shelling and victims through official bodies of the Russian and the Ukrainian parties of conflict cannot be checked directly from an independent position in the current situation.

Selenskyj: expect a clear answer from Moscow

Despite the renewed attacks, both sides are ready to dialogue. The Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj has repeated his offer for a mutual waiver of strokes against civilian institutions. Ukraine maintains its offer, said Selenskyj in his evening video message. “And we expect a clear answer from Moscow.”

The Russian president was ready for the first time in bilateral discussions with the Ukrainian government. Selenskyj's proposal is “a topic that has to be carefully checked, maybe even at a bilateral level,” said Putin yesterday.

His spokesman Dmitri Peskow confirmed that Putin referred to the possibility of direct negotiations with Ukraine. However, there are no concrete plans for discussions yet, according to the Kremlin. First of all, the details of the Ukrainian proposal must be checked. Since the failed efforts of peace in the first months of the war three years ago, both sides have no more talks.

Indirect negotiations from Wednesday

However, the indirect negotiations this week continue. According to Kiev on Wednesday, negotiators from the USA, Ukraine, UK and France will meet new advice on opportunities for the end of the Russian attack war on Wednesday.

France and Great Britain lead a “coalition of the willing” that wants to give Ukraine security guarantees and also support them in the negotiations.
