The Bundestag election accuses your shadow on the financial markets. Quite a few experts fear that the correction in the DAX could resume speed after Sunday.
The DAX goes on a relaxation course at the time of the week. However, the German stock market barometer can only easily expand its initial profits by noon, and it is currently 0.2 percent in plus 22,364 points.
The DAX used the support zone at 22,200/22,300 to initiate the turn upwards. The only question is: how sustainable are the current price gains? Is there more than just a technical counter -reaction to the latest price slide behind it?
The fact is: The DAX is technically stricken after failure on the 23,000-point mark, which is warned by investors for caution.
The upcoming Bundestag election ensures additional uncertainty among investors, as experts expect difficult government formation. Quite a few market observers therefore expect price declines after the election. Accordingly, some investors could shy away from taking risks into the weekend.
A damper for the European markets, meanwhile, came from the economic front in the morning: the corporate mood in the euro area surprisingly stagnated in February. The shopping manager index determined by S&P Global remained on 50.2 points and thus only just above the expansion threshold. However, economists had expected the third increase in a row.
The fresh data signaled that the current euphoria on the European financial market is not underly supported by an increasing economic dynamic, said Johannes Mayr, chief economist at the asset manager Eyb & Wallwitz.
In Germany there was a mixed picture: the mood indicator sank in the field of services, but still indicated growth. The indicator of industry, on the other hand, gave a greater way – experts see it a tender hope signal.
Meanwhile, a slight counter -reaction on yesterday's course losses are emerging on Wall Street, the big indices are likely to start in the last trading day of the week. The future on the leading index Dow Jones Industrial Average is currently 0.1 percent up, and the future also attracts a bit on the technology -heavy NASDAQ 100.
The euro is $ 1.0471 at lunchtime. According to expert Ralf Umlauf from Landesbank Helaba, the shopping manager indices published today have “not reduced” the expectations of further interest rate cuts by the European Central Bank (ECB).
Gold lists 0.3 percent lower at $ 2,932 per troy ounce at noon. The day before, the yellow precious metal had set up a new historical record at $ 2,955. Gold had recently benefited from his reputation as a “safe port”, but also fears of possible trump tariffs on raw material imports – including gold bars – drove the price.
