In the small town of Isjum in the northeast of Ukraine, at least five people died in a Russian rocket attack, more than 30 were injured. President Selenskyj calls for “maximum pressure” on Russia.
According to Ukrainian information, five people were killed and more than 30 injured in a Russian rocket attack on the city of Isjum in the northeast of Ukrainian information. This was announced by the governor of the Charkiw region, Oleh Synjehubow, in the short message service Telegram.
Among the injuries is a 15 year old girl. Three people would have to be operated on after the attack. Previously, there had been talk of four deaths and 17 injuries.

Selenskyj: “Brutality cannot be tolerated”
Isjum is about 120 kilometers southeast of the city of Charkiw. A ballistic rocket of the Russian armed forces hit the center of Isjum. The city council building was partially destroyed, several residential buildings were damaged.
There is no military facility nearby, the governor adds. “This brutality cannot be tolerated,” writes Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj on the platform X. “Maximum pressure has to be exercised on Russia – through military violence, sanctions and diplomacy – to protect terrorism and protect life.”
Isjum was occupied by Russian troops from April to early September 2022 and was badly damaged by the fights. Before the Russian attack war on February 2022, 45,000 people lived here.
