Organizing your binder
Step 1: Purchase a binder with a zipper that closes all the way around. Too many times do I hear people lost coupons as they slipped out of binders that did not have this feature (Walmart/Staples/Dollar stores)
Step 2: Purchase baseball card inserts (Walmart/Dollar stores) and use those to organize your coupons
Step 3: Find a system that works for you. I have tried two systems – organized by expiry and organized by like product. The expiry method did not work for me, as I personally love clearance isles and found myself hunting through my book looking for coupons I knew I had. The system that currently is working great for me is organizing coupons by like product (baby, hygiene, food, medication, household products).
I found a really helpful list that is fairly exhaustive, feel free to use this list or modify what works best for you (thank you Bonnie from http://canadiancouponsnfreebies.com/)
